Hall of Legends

The Hall of Legends is the most important building of the entire endgame. You unlock it at level 70 with the first legendary level, and from that point on, a simple equation applies: each level of the building (maximum 550) = one skill point. With these points, you purchase permanent offensive and defensive bonuses in two trees, including extra attack waves, and from legendary level 30 onwards, you can also research sovereign skills for sceats and imperial dukats - unlocking Castle levels 6, 7, and 8, and permanently upgrading units and tools.

Hall of Legends

Building Basics

A military building measuring 5x10 tiles, which you build once and then upgrade 550 times. The appearance does not change, only the public order increases (from 150 at level 1 to 238 at level 550) and mainly the number of skill points.

Upgrade costs: wood and stone increase from 20,000 to a cap of 81,000 per level (from around level 237), along with two rotating kingdom resources - charcoal, olive oil, glass, or iron ore - from hundreds at the beginning to 81,000 at the last levels. Overall, this amounts to millions of kingdom resources, so it is crucial to have your own legendary production buildings (Iron Mine, Forest Lodge, Stone Quarry, Granary) and raid nomads.

Best practice: during a nomadic invasion, raid the khan's camp (kingdom resources + wood and stone), pull iron ore from nomadic camps, and with time jumps from the Master Blacksmith, you can manage several levels per event.

How the Skill Tree Works

You have a maximum of 550 points, but all skills together would cost 1,950 - so you need to choose roughly a quarter. Each skill has several levels, and each level costs the specified number of points.

  • Skills are in five tiers: to reach tier 2, you need 40 points spent in tier 1, to reach tier 3 you need 80 points in tier 2, to reach tier 4 you need a total of 90 points in tier 3, and to reach tier 5 you need another 90 points in tier 4.
  • Master Skills: the first (extra wave, i.e. +10% limit on walls) is obtained for 80 points in tier 2, the second and strongest (+12% strength of all units) for 90 points in tier 5. For the second one, you realistically need about 390 points invested in one tree.
  • Resetting points is free with a cooldown of 15 days; it can be skipped for rubies.

Most bonuses apply against legendary-level castle lords, some only against NPC targets - keep an eye on this for raiding skills.

Sovereign Skills for buildings (Castle Level 6, 7, and 8)

From legendary level 30 onwards, tabs for sovereign skills are added in the Hall of Legends. Instead of points, you use sceats (Castle 6 and 7) and imperial ducats (Castle 8). You must complete mandatory research to advance to the next tier; buildings are then constructed using construction tokens, upgrade tokens, plaster, and dragon scales.

Sovereign Skills for units and tools

The second branch of sovereign skills permanently increases the level of selected units and tools (always max. 10 levels):

  • Honey Units (Castle 6): Shieldbearer, Valkyrie Ranger, Guardian of the North, and Crossbow Valkyrie - first level 200 sceats, next 150, total 1,550 sceats per unit. Requirement: Barracks 14 and legendary levels 50-95.
  • Tools (Castle 7, legendary levels 380-710): five tiers of research for 60-90 sceats per level (600-900 total per tool). Tier 1: Reinforced Ram, Tower of Glory, Thunder Bomb, Trebuchet. Tier 2: Hook Cannon, Hwacha, Field Gun, Water Mine. Tier 3: Siege Mortar, Spiked Plank. Tier 4: Explosive Arrows, Shrapnel Bomb, Hand Cannon, Assault Flamethrower, Spear Trap, Burning Trap. Tier 5 (optional): War Chariot (380 sceats per level, only 3 levels, 1,140 total), Ribauldequin, Wooden Underpinning, Mobile Cauldron.
  • Dragon Units (Castle 8, legendary level 950): Glass Wing Shooter (Barracks 16), Flame Berserker (Barracks 17), Scaled Guardian (Barracks 19), and Scaled Shooter (Barracks 20) - each level 200 imperial ducats, 2,000 ducats per unit.
Pro player tipChoose one tree and push it to mastery: +12% strength for all units from Hard Hit (attack) or Steadfast (defense) is the strongest bonus in the entire building, and you need about 390 points for it. Along the way, take cheap high-value options - Rich in Experience (5 points, +20% XP), Thrifty (15 points, -90% travel costs), and Home Sweet Home (20 points, +100% return speed) have the best cost/performance ratio.
Common mistakeDistributing points evenly across both trees. With 550 points out of 1,950 possible, you simply can't have it all - if you allocate 275 points to attack and 275 to defense, you won't reach any mastery skill and will miss out on +12% strength and the extra wave. Another classic mistake: spending sceats on optional research (Water Obstacle, Sobering Up) when you haven't unlocked the mandatory Castle 7 branch yet.
