Equipment Trader

The Equipment Trader is a permanent stall outside the walls that sells equipment, commander and castellan sets, and mainly gems (jewels) for rubies. Along with the Armorer and Travelling Merchant, he is always displayed to you. Prices are high, so it is generally not worth buying from him without a discount.

What the Equipment Trader offers

The Equipment Trader is one of the three permanent traders outside the walls, alongside the Armorer and Travelling Merchant. In exchange for rubies, he gives you equipment and jewels.

His offer is divided into equipment bundles with sets for commanders and castellans and gems in three categories: common, relic, and unique. Generally, it is expensive merchandise, and it is not worth buying from him without a promotion.

Equipment bundles

A bundle contains a set of equipment for a commander or castellan. The price range is enormous:

  • Cheaper sets: Druid Warriors Relics 45,000 rubies, Secrets of the Forest Spirit 30,000, Legacy of the North 45,000.
  • Mid-range: Phoenix Bundle 70,000 to 100,000, Armor of the Radiant 125,000, Kala's Mysteries 100,000.
  • Most expensive: Garments of the Shadow Sorcerer (Unique 9) for 700,000 rubies, Power of the Elements and Legacy of the Eagle Demon at 300,000 each.

Many bundles are fully improved (max), meaning fully upgraded through the technicus, and some are available only for a limited time.

Common gems and their prices

Common gems are available at levels roughly 7 to 10. The price increases with level and type:

  • Level 10: from 140,000 rubies (Finder, Firestorm, Plunderer, Homecomer) through 175,000 (Rampart, Rebellion, Hoarder, and others) up to 235,000 for Stormed Flanks.
  • Level 9: roughly 85,000 to 140,000 rubies depending on the type.
  • Level 7 and 8: significantly cheaper (14,000 to 34,000), but available only for players level 10 to 69.

The most expensive common gem is Stormed Flanks level 10 for 235,000 rubies, which shows how expensive this offer is.

Relic and unique gems

In addition to common gems, he also sells special categories:

  • Relic gems: gems for commanders and castellans based on stars, for example, 2 stars 15,000 rubies, 3 silver stars 51,000, versions with 1 silver star around 26,910 to 36,000 rubies.
  • Unique gems: thematic pieces like Aqua 39,000, Ignis 42,000, Terra 36,000, Aura 33,000, as well as the Kala's series (11,000 to 14,000) and Khan (7,700 to 9,800).
  • The most expensive uniques are Sorcery Stone, Shadow Spikes, Shade Splinters, and Sphere of Darkness (Unique 9), each for 89,000 rubies.

For some uniques, the price varies based on the rarity of the piece (Rare 1 / Epic 1 / Epic 9), so the same gem can have different prices.

Is it worth buying from him?

Generally, not without a discount. Bundles and gems cost tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of rubies, and at full price, it is a very inefficient purchase. However, the situation changes during promotions:

  • Sometimes a bundle has a discount of up to 65%, which reduces the price enough that an otherwise overpriced set starts to make sense.
  • Cheaper gems of lower levels (7 and 8) can be interesting for players up to level 69 who want to quickly strengthen their sets.

Without a discount, consider the Equipment Trader more as a showcase than a place where you regularly spend rubies.

Pro player tipOnly buy from him during discounts of up to 65% on bundles. At full price, sets and gems are heavily overpriced. Cheap gems of levels 7 and 8 are a good choice for players up to level 69, but above that level, you won't be able to buy them.
Common mistakeBuying bundles and gems at full ruby price. One set or gem can cost tens to hundreds of thousands of rubies, and without a discount, it is one of the least efficient ways to spend rubies in the game.
