Relic Buildings

The Relic Brewery, Beehive, and Bakery are late-game civilian buildings for advanced players. The Brewery and Beehive supply resources for sovereign units (mead), while the Bakery saves food for the garrison. They are unlocked through research in the Hall of Legends at high Legendary levels and cost construction and upgrade tokens.

Relic Brewery (mead)

The Relic Brewery is a sovereign civilian building that produces mead from honey and food. You unlock it through research in the Hall of Legends at Legendary level 45 (Master Brewer). You can have only one in your castle, occupying 5x5.

Mead is essential because it is consumed by sovereign units instead of regular food. You regulate production with a percentage slider: lower percentages mean less mead but also lower food and honey consumption. When the storage is full, production halts.

Level 1: +5000 mead, +150 public order, conversion 5:1 (food) and 3:1 (honey).
As of March 2024, the building has 30 levels. At level 15, it produces +100000 mead, with a more favorable ratio of 3:1 and 1:1.

Beware of the actual conversion ratios

The displayed ratios in the brewery can be misleading. According to in-game tests, you need not just food or honey, but both simultaneously. The actual conversion is x:0.5, so for 1 mead, you need 5 food and 3 honey at the same time.

Practically: for 5000 mead (at Brewery level 1), you need 25000 food and 15000 honey together, not just one of those resources. Keep this in mind when planning your supplies, otherwise, your mead production may unexpectedly stop.

Relic Beehive (honey)

The Relic Beehive is a sovereign civilian building that produces honey, the second resource needed for mead. It is unlocked through research in the Hall of Legends at Legendary level 40 (Beekeeper). You can build up to 15 beehives in one castle, each occupying 5x5.

The workload of all beehives is always 100%, no matter how many you have.
Level 1: 250 honey per hour, +150 public order. Level 15: 600 honey per hour.
The costs for the first 15 levels are the same as those of the brewery and fall under the relic honey district.

The limit for beehives was increased from 10 to 15 in November 2023, and in September 2024, the requirements for Legendary level for individual levels were reduced.

Relic Bakery (food saving)

The Relic Bakery is the relic counterpart of the regular bakery. It reduces the food consumption of all soldiers in the castle where it is built. You can start building and upgrading it from player level 30, but since August 2023, you can only obtain it for 60000 gold from the Master Blacksmith.

It has 5 levels: level 1 gives -5% food consumption, each additional level gives -5% more, up to level 5 which gives -25%.
A combination of a maxed regular and relic bakery results in a total of -65% food consumption. The garrison then consumes only 35% of the regular amount, allowing you to fit many more soldiers in the castle.

Pro player tipBefore you start producing mead, check your supplies of food and honey. The actual conversion is 5 food and 3 honey for one mead (both at the same time), so without enough honey from beehives, production will soon stop.

Common mistakeBelieving the displayed conversion ratios in the brewery and thinking that you only need food or only honey. In reality, you need both resources simultaneously; otherwise, mead production halts and sovereign units have nothing to eat.
