About Us and Who's Behind It

Hi, I'm Honza. I've been playing Goodgame Empire for a long time now, long enough to have gone through every phase, from the excited newbie sending halberdiers into the attack, to the player who knows better than to do that. I run this site in my spare time, because for a long time there was no honest Czech-language wiki out there that just told things straight.

Why This Site Exists

When I started out, there was almost nothing about Empire in Czech, and what did exist was either outdated or machine-translated from the English wiki. I learned a lot of it by trial and error (and a few lost armies along the way). Over time I started keeping my own notes, on every unit, every building, every event. Those notes eventually grew into this site.

The goal is simple: as a player, you should be able to find what you need here in two clicks, and it should be written the way I'd explain it to a friend over a beer, not like an encyclopedia.

Where the Data and Images Come From

• Unit, building, and tool figures come straight from the current in-game data. When the game changes something, I recalculate it. Every data page shows you the data version.
• Images are official game artwork. I have permission to use it on this fan site, I don't pull anything from other websites.
• Text, ratings, and tips are my own experience and opinion. I don't rewrite other wikis. When I'm not sure about something, I say so.

How I Write Here

For every unit or building, I try to answer what people actually want to know: what it's for, when it's actually worth using, and where people most often go wrong with it. That's why you'll find an "experienced player's tip" and a "common mistake" next to the details, things I've either done myself or keep seeing over and over in my alliance.

The site keeps changing. In News I write about what I've added or rewritten, and why.

What You Won't Find Here

No "hacks," no "ruby generators," and no promises that you'll get something for free. None of that works, it puts your account at risk, and I don't want this site associated with anything like that. I play fair, and I write the same way.
