Equipment

Equipment is a key element in Goodgame Empire that often determines victory or defeat in battles. Properly chosen equipment can significantly influence the strength of your commander or castellan.

Types and Rarities of Equipment

Equipment is divided for commanders and castellans and consists of six classes: helmet, armor, weapon, artifact, appearance, and hero. There are six rarities: Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Unique, and Relic, with color borders ranging from gray to blue. Equipment can be sold for coins, shard fragments, sacrifice shards, or relic fragments.

How to Obtain Equipment

  • Successful attacks on NPC targets, including nomad camps (everything except Unique and Relic).
  • Purchase from the Equipment Merchant, Master Blacksmith, and special offers.
  • Completing quests and participating in events.
  • Ranking in the top 7000 in The Outer Realms.
  • Opening a shard chest during Shard Raids.

Equipment Bonuses

Equipment bonuses vary, and the highest bonus determines the suffix of the equipment name. For example, if the highest bonus on a commander's equipment is 'Increases the combat strength of archers by XX.X%', the equipment will be named '[Rarity] [Type of equipment] archer'. For the castellan, it will be '[Rarity] [Type of equipment] iron rain'.

Equipment Sets

There are sets of legendary equipment that provide extra bonuses when equipped on the same commander or castellan. These bonuses can exceed normal limits and specialize in certain targets, making complete sets very powerful until a large amount of Relic equipment becomes available.

Blacksmithing

In blacksmithing, new items can be created from looted items. Only items of the same quality can be combined in blacksmithing, allowing players to combine equipment for the castellan and commander. For a cost of gold, a player can place 3 or 6 items into blacksmithing and receive a new item of the same quality.

Pro player tipCollect complete sets of equipment for maximum bonuses and specialize in specific types of enemies.
Common mistakeMany newcomers sell rare equipment too early instead of combining it in blacksmithing for better items.
