Gems

Gems in Goodgame Empire are special items that can be inserted into equipment to increase its effectiveness. Players from level 25 can use gems, which are available in 13 levels. Each gem enhances the properties of the equipment it is inserted into.

Using Gems

Each gem can be inserted into one piece of equipment, adding its specific properties. Equipment can only have one gem at a time. Gems can also be upgraded at the blacksmith, where one main gem is combined with six others of the same or higher level. Successful upgrades increase the level of the gem.

Types of Gems

There are three main types of gems: Original, Unique, and Relic gems. Original gems can be obtained by defeating NPC opponents, trading royal resources, or as rewards from events.

Original Gems

Level 1: Stone, 500 coins, 100% success rate
Level 6: Diamond, 10000 coins, 10% success rate
Level 13: Heart, 20000 rubies, N/A success rate

Each level of gem has different upgrade costs and success probabilities.

Effects for Commanders

Gems can increase various properties, such as army return speed, loot capacity, or unit limits on wings and front. For example, the Finder gem increases the chance of finding powerful equipment by up to 25% at the highest level.

Effects for Castellans

For castellans, gems can increase safe storage capacity, reduce fire damage taken, or enhance the combat strength of defenders. For example, the Hoarder gem increases storage capacity by a certain value.
