Coat of Arms
The Coat of Arms is your business card on the world map — and also a hidden source of permanent bonuses. It is set in the King's Market, and you choose its first form during the introductory quests. Since August 5, 2014, you can change it for free at any time. Symbols unlocked through achievements add bonuses to production, glory from attacks, and the chance for better equipment.
Coat of Arms Editor and How to Change It
You can find the editor in the King's Market under the Coat of Arms button. You combine backgrounds, colors, and symbols into your own combination, which is then displayed on your castle, flags, and on the world map.
- The Coat of Arms has existed in the game since its launch (even before the official release in August 2011).
- Since November 29, 2011, it could be changed for rubies; since August 5, 2014, the change is free — experimenting costs nothing.
- Since August 11, 2015, alliances also have their own Coat of Arms.
Symbols with Bonuses and Prestige
The most important part of the Coat of Arms is not the colors, but the prestigious symbols for achievements. Each becomes available after collecting a certain number of achievement points (prestige) and is then purchased for coins or rubies. The bonuses cover seven areas:
- wood, stone, and food production (up to +30%, +25%, and +20%)
- honey and mead production (both up to +20%)
- glory from attacks (up to +23%)
- chance of finding better equipment (up to +100%)
Prices increase with each additional symbol, but skipping a cheaper symbol does not increase the price of the others — you can only choose the ones you want. And the main trick: when you use one large symbol, or the same symbol multiple times, its bonus is doubled. Each unlocking also returns rubies (200 to 1300 depending on the symbol, with honey and mead 100).
Table of Selected Symbols
Example range — from the first symbol to the most expensive:
| Effect | Price | Required Prestige | Rubies for Unlocking |
|---|---|---|---|
| +4% glory from attacks | 120 coins | 100 | 200 |
| +2% wood production | 900 coins | 250 | 210 |
| +10% chance of better equipment | 5,000 coins | 1,000 | 240 |
| +7% glory from attacks | 6,500 rubies | 1,350 | 250 |
| +100% chance of better equipment | 255,000 rubies | 24,750 | 1,200 |
| +23% glory from attacks | 255,000 rubies | 26,350 | 1,250 |
| +30% wood production | 950,000 coins | 27,950 | 1,300 |
| +20% honey production | 400,000 rubies | 47,550 | 100 |
| +20% mead production | 960,000 rubies | 50,150 | 100 |
There are over forty bonus symbols in total; the last one (mead +20%) requires 50,150 prestige points — that is a milestone for long-time players.

Alliance and NPC Coats of Arms
In addition to player Coats of Arms, you will also encounter Coats of Arms on the map that you can never have — they belong to NPC factions and help you quickly read the map:
- raiding barons and cultists — The Great Empire
- northerners — Glacier of Eternal Winter; desert warriors — Scorching Sands; cultists — Fiery Shields; storm natives — Storm Islands
- event factions — foreign lords (War of Empires), Blood Ravens, the Gerbrandt and Ursidae clans (Berimond), nomads, samurais, shapeshifters, undead (Thorn King), and demons (Underworld)
The alliance Coat of Arms (since August 11, 2015) is composed by the alliance leadership from its own set of symbols — it then uniformly marks all members on the map.
