Great Graveguard Potion – Goodgame Empire

Great Graveguard Potion

Offensive

A narrowly specialized Halloween tool against the Lady of Twilight that saves your army during the event, but is useless outside of it.

Quick overview

TypeOffensive

The Great Gravedigger's Elixir is a purely nickel offensive item that makes sense only in one scenario: when you attack the Lady of Twilight during the Halloween event. Its purpose is to reduce the number of your units that will turn into zombies after the battle. Outside of this event, it is a dead slot in your inventory, so don't worry about it for the rest of the year. But during Halloween, when zombification is eating away at your army wave after wave, it is something that can genuinely save your troops.

How to use it

You deploy it in your offensive setup against the Lady of Twilight and her targets during Halloween, ideally on waves where you expect the highest losses, because that is where the most units will turn into zombies after the battle. It makes sense when you plan to go through several rounds in a row and don't want to constantly replenish your barracks after each attack. If you're just going for a quick raid with minimal loss, feel free to leave it at home and save it for tougher targets.

What to combine it with

It belongs to a fully offensive siege setup against the Lady of Twilight: take it together with offensive and siege tools that increase your attack strength, plus commanders focused on attack. It is particularly useful when you expect significant losses and want to minimize the number of fallen units that turn into zombies. It does not belong in defensive or classic PvP/PvE setups outside of the event at all.

Pro player tipTreat battles against the Lady of Twilight like a marathon, not a sprint. If you gather a stock of elixirs in advance and deploy them systematically on loss-heavy waves, you will get through many more rounds from one batch of troops, as zombification will take a significantly smaller portion of your army. Accumulating them from previous events pays off; you never have enough at the end of the event.
Common mistakeThe most common mistake is to throw it into regular attacks outside of the event or at targets where no zombification occurs; it will bring you nothing there and you are just wasting your limited supply. Another classic is not deploying it in the setup against the Lady of Twilight where you expect significant losses, and then wondering where your army went when a large portion of the fallen rose as zombies.
