Elite nomad rope ladder – Goodgame Empire

Elite nomad rope ladder

Offensive

A specialized elite siege tool that significantly reduces your losses on strong nomadic camps - but is completely useless elsewhere.

Quick overview

TypeOffensive

The elite nomadic ladder is a purely specialized siege tool against nomads - its sole purpose is to significantly reduce the wall protection of the camp, allowing your infantry and siege units to face much weaker defenses. In player terms: without it, advanced nomadic camps can be quite a hassle, as the walls alone can take out dozens of units. This is the elite version, so the reduction in protection is noticeably greater and it's worth saving for the tougher camps, where it truly impacts losses.

How to use it

Deploy it exclusively against nomadic camps - you can't use it elsewhere, it's strictly limited to nomads. It belongs in the offensive slot for siege tools and makes sense mainly where the camp has strong walls and you would otherwise lose too many units just on the defense. Don't waste it on weak or low-level camps; there you can manage with a cheaper solution or without the ladder altogether. The more wall protection the camp puts in your way, the more this reduction pays off.

What to combine it with

It works best in a full siege setup - combine it with tools that add attack against walls and reduce their defense, plus of course with artillery and shock infantry, so the effects complement each other nicely. It fits commanders focused on attack and wall fighting, to help you get to where the ladder reduces protection. One ladder per attack is usually enough; better to dedicate the rest of the slots to tools for offensive strength and morale rather than a second ladder.

Pro player tipSave the elite version for the toughest camps with the highest protection - for easy waves, use a regular ladder and keep the elite one for where it truly affects losses. It's worth having separate setups: one cheap for farming weak camps and one elite for the bosses, so you don't waste expensive materials unnecessarily.
Common mistakeThe most common mistake is to include it in a setup against normal castles or foreign lords and wonder why it does nothing - it works ONLY against nomadic camps; elsewhere it's a dead slot. Another classic is putting two ladders in one attack, where the second usually gets lost (the effects of the same tools typically do not stack), or wasting it on completely weak camps where you hardly lose anything anyway.
