Rift Raid
Rift Raid is an alliance boss event added in November 2025 — currently the most recent major addition to the game. The entire alliance attacks a single powerful boss together, who has his own walls, courtyard, unit reserves, and special effects that change the course of the battle. Bosses exist in three variants and 20 levels, so there is always something to defeat.
How the event works
The boss has several health phases, represented by segments on his health bar. In each phase, he gains or changes special effects that affect the behavior of the battle — you can view all of them in the Boss Effects section on the left side of the event screen.
- The battle is purely a team effort — the boss is defeated by the entire alliance together.
- Each boss has 20 levels; after defeating one, you move on to the next.
- You collect activity points individually, and rewards for defeating the boss are given to anyone who meets the score threshold for eligibility.
Boss health, reserves, and walls
The total health of the boss is based on his reserve — a stockpile of units for defending the courtyard. Whenever the alliance depletes units in the courtyard, they are replenished from the reserve, the reserve decreases, and the boss's health bar drops. An example directly from the game: the boss starts with 100 units in the courtyard and 900 in reserve; after depleting the courtyard, it is replenished from the reserve, which drops to 800, and the boss's health falls to 90%.
However, before you can reach the courtyard, you must break the wall:
- The health of the walls also acts as defenders, but they regenerate indefinitely — they are not replenished from the reserve, and defeating them does not reduce the boss's health.
- A destroyed segment of the wall becomes a breakthrough and attacks pass directly to the courtyard.
- After the cooldown expires, the wall regenerates with new units — you can monitor the state of the walls in the bottom right of the UI.
Therefore, coordination is key: the alliance must make the most of each breakthrough before the wall closes again.
Three boss variants
Currently, there are three variants, each with its own mechanics:
| Boss | Difficulty | Specialty |
|---|---|---|
| Mycelial Sovereign | easy | mushroom walls with rapid regeneration and spores |
| Mistress of Decay | medium | custom set of effects based on phases |
| Ashen Tyrant | hard | toughest defense, special obsidian tools |
For the Mycelial Sovereign, the walls regenerate 5 minutes after being broken; you can slow them down with a support tool (Sporeguard Chrono-Vial adds +30 to +90 seconds to the regeneration cooldown). Each additional regeneration spawns spores — the more phases, the harder the finale. Spores themselves do nothing, but in the final phase, they transform: Dormant Spore Maw into Spore Gnasher and Dormant Spore Cyst into Cyst-born Sporecaster — both stronger than regular defenders (Spore Slinger and Fungus Guard). Therefore, it pays off to eliminate sleeping spores before the final phase.
Activity points and rewards
You earn activity points for depleting enemies on the walls and in the courtyard — based on the share of units you defeat in the target area. Each area has its own score multiplier:
- walls x100
- courtyard x1000
Rewards are automatically credited as soon as you reach the threshold. Selected from a total of 71 levels:
| Points | Reward |
|---|---|
| 200 | 170 Raid ladder (-60% wall protection) + 60 Raid ram (-60% gate protection) |
| 600 | Hourglass of cunning lvl. 3 (+3 waves, +30% unit limit) + 5 Bronze Sporeguard Chrono-Vial |
| 7,500 | 100 Rift Coin + 50 upgrade tokens |
| 48,000 | 60 Silver Obsidian Weighted Net + 60 Silver Obsidian Siege Shield (against Ashen Tyrant) |
| 1,000,000 | 1 big dragon chest (Big dragon chest) |
| 4,400,000 | 100 Rift Coin + 250 plaster (Plaster) |
Rewards for defeating the boss and Rift Boxes
When the alliance defeats the boss at any of the 20 levels and you have met the eligibility threshold, you also receive a reward for defeating the boss:
| Boss Level | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 Rare Bronze Rift Box + 3000 Valkyrie ranger lvl. 10 + 3000 Shield-maiden lvl. 10 |
| 5 | 1 Rare Silver Rift Box + 50,000 + 50,000 units + 1750 Rift Coin + 50 Ashira's Offering |
| 10 | 1 Rare Gold Rift Box + 12,000 Rift Coin |
| 20 | 1 Rare Gold Rift Box + 12,000 Rift Coin + 80x 15,000 XP for generals |
Note the difference between Rift Boxes: a box from rewards for defeating the boss provides complete sets based on the active variant of the boss (including gems), while a box purchased from the Master Blacksmith provides equipment and heroes for other variants, but does not contain gems. You can then purchase items in the event shop with Rift Coins.
