Royal storehouse – Goodgame Empire

Royal storehouse

Economic

A one-purpose building: more space for wood and stone, nothing more. Build it when the storage limit is really slowing you down, otherwise, there's no rush.

Quick overview

CategoryEconomic
Max level1
Size8×10
PriorityOptional

The Royal Storehouse does one thing, but does it well: it increases the storage capacity for wood and stone. It comes in handy when your storage limit starts to really choke you - you have nowhere to store resources, and your production is consequently capped. It is not a production or defense building, just extra space for the two most construction-heavy resources in the game. The size of 8×10 is quite large, so at a small castle, think carefully if that space would be better used for something else.

When to build it

Build it when your wood and stone regularly hit the cap and you see in the overview that production is hitting capacity. As long as you have just enough resources or they are disappearing into under-construction buildings, wait. It mainly makes sense when you are keeping a large stockpile for an expensive building and need to gather it all at once. Due to the size of 8×10, find a spot in your castle beforehand so you don't have to move anything because of it.

Is it worth upgrading?

You don't deal with any upgrades - the building has a maximum level of 1. You build it once and receive the entire capacity increase immediately after construction. No decisions on what level to invest in, no additional costs.

Pro player tipSince it only increases capacity for wood and stone, not for food or coins, consider it a supplement based on what you are actually lacking. At a small castle, it is often more worthwhile to rely on the main building and towers than to sacrifice 8×10 just for storage. However, once you start building expensive structures and need a large stockpile of resources together, you will appreciate that space.
Common mistakeThe most common mistake is to build it before you even hit the storage limit - in the early phase, your resources disappear directly into buildings, and you can use the 8×10 space and builders' time better elsewhere. The second trap is sacrificing such a large area for more space for resources that you still can't fully utilize at a small castle. Follow the overview, not your feelings.
