Emporium

Economic

A team economic building for an active alliance - it adds food to everyone at once. In a dead alliance or solo, feel free to postpone it.

Quick overview

The Trade Center is an alliance-focused economic building - once you build it, you increase food production for all alliance members, not just yourself. This makes it a team building. On its own, it won't improve your castle, but it boosts the economy of the entire alliance, so no one will lack food for their army. Just keep in mind that its value depends on the activity of the alliance - a solo player or someone in a dead alliance won't benefit much from it.

When to build it

This is not a building you build on the first day. First, solve your own economy and castle defense so you have something to defend. The Trade Center makes sense once you are firmly established in an alliance that holds together and wants to grow together. If you have an agreement in the alliance about who builds which alliance buildings, feel free to take care of this one - everyone needs food, and your bonus adds up with what others are building.

Is it worth upgrading?

It's worth it, but with caution. Each level adds to the bonus for food production, so the higher the level, the greater the benefit for the entire alliance - and since the effect applies to everyone, the upgrades multiply by the number of people you are helping. If you have taken this building as your alliance task and the alliance is thriving, ideally max it out (5). However, when resources are tight, don't sink everything here - first, take care of your own core, then level up the alliance building.

Pro player tipDivide alliance buildings among the alliance - let each person hold one and all level up high, instead of five people overlapping on one. A common plan will yield much more. And when planning the layout of your castle, keep in mind that 25×25 is a substantial area, so make sure to leave space for it in advance, so you don't have to rebuild anything because of it later.
Common mistakeThe most common mistake is building it without agreement with the alliance. Either three people end up building it unnecessarily while other alliance buildings are missing, or no one builds it at all. Another classic is cramming it into a half-empty alliance - there, the bonus only realistically addresses your own food, and for that 25×25 space and investment, it's not worth it.
