Thorn ladder – Goodgame Empire

Thorn ladder

A narrowly specialized tool only for the undead - worthless outside of these events, but worth having a stock for attacks against the undead.

Quick overview

The Thorn Ladder is a one-time tool carved from the wood of thorny bushes and has a single use - attacking the undead. Outside of undead events, it is useless to you, so do not try to include it in regular setups against human players or other targets. However, when you are facing undead bosses and rounds, it is exactly the type of helper that will help you break through defenses and advance your attack.

How to use it

Deploy it exclusively in attack waves against undead targets. It acts as a supportive attacking tool that helps you overcome defenses, so include it where you need to push your army through the walls. Do not waste it on weaker rounds - undead events often have waves with increasing difficulty, so save the ladders for those tougher targets where your regular equipment starts to fall short.

What to combine it with

It belongs to a purely undead setup - combine it with other tools and units focused on the undead, not with universal equipment for human players. Supplement it with tools that strengthen your army or weaken the target's defense. On its own, it won't win the battle, but as part of a finely tuned undead setup, it will do its job.

Pro player tipPlan your ladders according to the difficulty of the waves. Keep a stock for the entire event and deploy them gradually as the strength of the targets increases, so you don't run out just on the hardest round. Since you won't use them anywhere else, it makes no sense to bring them into regular attacks - they would just take up a slot where they can't do anything.
Common mistakeThe most common mistake is to put it into a regular attacking setup against human players or ordinary targets, where it does absolutely nothing - it's a wasted slot. Use it only where it belongs: against the undead.
