Cave ladder

A narrowly specialized piece for fighting demons. Useless elsewhere, but it belongs in this equipment.

Quick overview

The Cave Ladder is carved from solid stone and has a single role: you will use it when fighting against demons. It won't help you in regular attacks on other players' castles, on Storm Islands, or against NPCs, as it is of no use there. Consider it a specialist for one situation, not a piece that you carry with you into every attack.

How to use it

Use it when attacking demons and nowhere else. It belongs in the tool section of the setup aimed at this type of target, where specialized equipment is useful instead of universal siege equipment. In another attack, it will only take up a slot that could be better served by a tool that actually adds something.

What to combine it with

Combine it into a dedicated setup against demons along with units and tools that are most effective for this type of combat, and with commanders focused in the same direction. Do not mix it into attack sets against players. Keep your demon setup separate so that you have all specialized pieces together and do not have to sort them out again each time.

Pro player tipSave your demon setup with this ladder as a separate preset. One click and the attack is ready, instead of hurriedly searching for where you put your specialized tools. And since it cannot be used outside of fighting demons, feel free to keep it away from your regular inventory to avoid accidentally using it elsewhere.

Common mistakeThe classic mistake is to load it into an attack against a player or NPC and wonder why it adds nothing at all. Outside of fighting demons, it is dead weight that takes up space in your setup. The second common issue is the opposite: forgetting to include it in the demon setup and going into an attack unnecessarily weakened.
