The Hook Ladder is a purely offensive tool for Berimond and the Berimond Invasion - it attaches to the wall and gives you a bonus to bravery points. It does not fight on its own, but it boosts your score, which is used to distribute rewards in the event. I consider it one of the basic "scoring" supplements for the ladder - it won't win the battle by itself, but if you're aiming for a better position in the bravery leaderboard, it does exactly what you need.

How to use it

Use it exclusively for attacks on targets in Berimond and during the Berimond Invasion - it has no use elsewhere. It belongs on the front wall with offensive tools, where it attaches and adds bravery to you. Use it when your primary goal is to improve your position in the event leaderboard, not just to conquer the target itself. The more relevant attacks you make with it, the better your bonuses will accumulate.

What to combine it with

It works best as part of a full offensive setup - combine it with regular offensive tools on the wall as well as those that also add bravery, so your bonuses stack. Supplement it with siege tools for breaking through defenses, ensuring the attack goes through reliably, and the ladder will give you extra points. In Berimond, consider it a standard item in every offensive slot.

Pro player tipThink of it as an investment in the rewards leaderboard, not in one specific battle - it does not affect the outcome of the attack itself, it only contributes to the event score. Therefore, always include it in your setup when attacking Berimond targets and you want to move up in the bravery leaderboard. If you're only going for a pure conquest of the target regardless of ranking, it's better to leave the slot for a siege tool.

Common mistakeThe most common mistake is to use it outside of Berimond and the Berimond Invasion, where it does absolutely nothing and just takes up a slot. The second mistake is to rely on it as a combat tool: it will raise your bravery, but it won't overcome defenses, so without proper offensive and siege tools, your attack won't succeed anyway.
