The Chest of Royal Symbols is a support item for defense that does not add raw strength to the crew, but revolves around glory and khan's plates. Instead of percentages for defense, it increases what you take away from battles against the khan. Players often overlook it because they do not see any big numbers for defense in the preview, but this chest turns an ordinary expedition against the khan into a source of additional glory and plates. If you are actively dealing with the khan and collecting plates, it is one of the most profitable items you can include in your setup.

How to use it

Deploy it when you are actually collecting glory and khan's plates, not universally in every slot. It makes sense mainly during khan's campaigns and events, when plates and glory are really dropping and every successful battle is directly rewarded. On a passive castle, where nothing is happening and no plates are pouring in, it is a wasted slot. Prepare it in advance so that you have it ready before the khan event even starts.

What to combine it with

By itself, it does not achieve anything, so combine it with items and officers that will do the real work. It fits best into a setup focused on the khan and farming glory, where you can link it to other bonuses for loot and glory, so that the effects stack and the overall yield increases. The more sources of glory and plates you stack together in the setup, the more this chest will add at the top.

Pro player tipKeep it in a separate, pre-prepared setup for the khan, which you switch on only for the duration of the campaign, and in the meantime, feel free to free up the slot for a stronger item. It pays off to keep an eye on the timing of events, because outside of them, you will extract significantly less from it. When tuning your yield, focus it where you already have the rest of the setup built for maximum loot, so that its effect stacks with other bonuses.

Common mistakeThe biggest mistake is to expect raw defense or offensive strength from it, which it does not provide. The second trap is to keep it deployed all the time even outside of khan's campaigns, where it generates no plates or glory and just blocks the slot for a more useful item. And it only pays off dishonestly when you complete the battle, so it makes no sense to include it in a setup that will not succeed anyway.
