The Berimond Shield is a defensive item that protects against both threats in Berimond at the same time - it shields you from both Bears and Lions. This is its main attraction: no matter what your opponent sends against you, the shield holds. Additionally, it provides a bonus to bravery points, helping you climb the event leaderboard while defending. I consider it one of the cornerstones of a decent Berimond defense - without such universal protection, you will struggle unnecessarily on higher waves.

How to use it

Always equip it on the walls when you are defending in Berimond or during the Berimond invasion - outside of these events, it is useless, so keep that in mind. Because it protects against both Bears and Lions at the same time, you don't have to worry about which unit your opponent will attack you with, saving you from juggling multiple defensive items. Use it mainly in defenses where you aim to hold your position and gather bravery, not just to repel an attack once.

What to combine it with

It works best in a full defensive setup - combine it with a defensive commander, other wall items, and defensive tools to maximize your bravery points. Since it covers a universal base against both types of units, you can comfortably dedicate the remaining slots to anything that further strengthens your defense. Keep it in your Berimond "defensive" gear separate from your regular PvP setup, so you have it ready as soon as the event starts.

Pro player tipThe value of the shield lies in the combination of protection and bravery, which you can only assess during defense - therefore, do not take it into attack, as it will not benefit you there. If you are aiming for a position on the event leaderboard, that bonus to bravery from well-defended defenses makes the difference between average and top ranks, so deploy it in every defensive round.

Common mistakeThe most common mistake is leaving the shield in the inventory and only remembering it after a lost defense - you must actively equip it on the walls before the wave starts, otherwise it is completely useless. Another classic mistake is trying to use it outside of Berimond and the Berimond invasion, where it simply does not work, so do not count on it in regular PvP.
