It increases the amount of glory and looted khan's plates you gain when you successfully defend your castle from an attack. It is not a unit or a wall and will not win battles on its own; it is purely a loot bonus. Players mainly deploy it during khan events, where plates count towards successful defenses, and any additional bonus is added to what you take away. Simply put: you will defend against the same attack as without it, but with this chest, you will extract more from it.

How to use it

Deploy it in your defensive setup when you expect raids and want to maximize your gains, typically during khan events or when you are aiming for glory. It only makes sense if you actually defend against the attack, so do not place it in a castle that is bound to fall anyway. It is best utilized in the main castle or at a target that is facing attacks and where you have a strong enough defense to actually fend off the attackers. Outside of events where plates are not at stake, feel free to keep it in storage and save slots for tools that actually increase defense strength.

What to combine it with

Always base it on a solid defense, because this chest only multiplies the bonus but cannot ensure the defense itself. First, secure a strong defensive unit, a commander, and defensive tools for the wall, gate, and moat, and only then add the chest for extracting glory and plates. This creates a classic defensive farming setup for khan events: you withstand the wave while extracting as much loot as possible from it. If you have multiple bonus items for glory or plates, be aware that the same bonuses may not simply stack, so it is better to check if the effects combine or if only the strongest one is taken.

Pro player tipStock up on these chests in advance, outside of events, and then deploy them all at once on a castle that is the target of raids during a khan event. The key is to have someone attack you and to hold the defense, so sometimes it pays off to be that tempting target with strong defense. Watch when the event starts and keep slots free so you can deploy the chest before the first wave. And be prepared for khan attacks to come in several waves in a row, so have enough tools in stock to last you through the entire onslaught.

Common mistakeThe most common mistake is placing the chest in a castle that cannot fend off the attack. The bonus only counts from a successful defense, so if you lose, the chest is useless, and you have wasted a slot that could have held a tool that increases defense strength. The second mistake is expecting the chest to add defense on its own. It does not. It is purely a yield bonus, not a strength bonus, so without solid defense behind it, it is a wasted tool.
