It won't keep you alive in battle by itself; it's more of a multiplier for the yield applied to your defensive setup. How to use it

Deploy it in your defensive setup during the nomad event, ideally before the waves of attacks start coming in. There's no point in using it for a single defense with a few units - activate it when you know a longer series of attacks is coming and you want to accumulate as many tablets as possible for exchange in the event shop. The more defenses you complete with it, the more you will benefit.

What to combine it with

By itself, it won't win battles, so always place it on a solid defensive foundation - defensive troops, wall tools, and commanders focused on defense. Pair it with other tools and officers that increase loot and rewards, so your bonuses stack. The rest of the setup holds the defense, while this chest applies a bonus to the yield of tablets.

Every defense completed without an active bonus means wasting tablets that you won't be able to recover.
