Quick Attack
Quick Attack is a way to send troops to a target with one click without the tedious process of manually assembling each wave. It is mainly useful for farming NPCs and robbers, where you repeatedly use the same setup. However, be cautious about one confusing aspect regarding the name, which we will clarify here.
What Quick Attack is for
Quick Attack saves time when you are doing the same thing over and over. Instead of manually selecting a general, assembling units into flanks, and adding tools for each attack, you send a pre-prepared attack with a few clicks. This is invaluable especially for:
- Farming Robber Baron Castles.
- Repeatedly smashing NPC targets (cultist towers, barbarian towers, etc.).
- Collecting daily quests where you need to defeat a specific type of target.
How to use it wisely
To ensure that Quick Attack actually saves your troops and does not lead to unnecessary losses:
- Have one optimized farming setup for the specific type of target and use it repeatedly.
- Adjust the setup according to the target's defense — use different troops for ranged defense than for melee.
- Monitor reports. If your losses suddenly increase at the same target, the target has changed (different level, different defense) and it’s time to adjust the setup.
Quick Attack is a tool for routine — for tough targets and players, it’s better to assemble your attack manually and thoughtfully.
Caution, Quickattack is a unit from the test server
When you encounter the term Quickattack in the wiki, you might get confused. In the game, there is also a unit named Quickattack — an extremely powerful ranged unit that cannot be recruited, obtained, or found anywhere.
- Its image and combat properties are only in the game files.
- According to a statement from June 22, 2015, it is available only on the internal test server and is non-functional.
- It is used by developers to test movements and functions, not for actual gameplay.
So if you are looking for this unit for your army — don’t bother, it won’t be available in normal gameplay.
Quick Attack versus Thoughtful Attack
Summary of when to use what:
- Quick Attack — routine, farming robbers and NPCs, daily quests where you use the same setup.
- Manual Attack — player castles, strong NPCs, sieges, and everything where you care about which flank you send which troops and what tools you add.
Speed is great for volume, but battles that matter are won with strategy, not with one click.
