Alliance City

Alliance Cities (AC) were a temporary feature where alliances built their own cities, defended them, and attacked foreign ones. Successful attacks on foreign cities earned you royal coins. It was the largest update of 2016, but this feature is now discontinued.

Alliance City

What was this feature

Inside each alliance city were empty plots where you built buildings from resources in the alliance treasury. The city could be defended and used to attack other alliances' cities. Successful attacks on foreign AC yielded royal coins, making it a purely alliance-team activity.

Royal coins and bonuses from chests

In addition to the basic loot, chests and crates with percentage bonuses to coins and tokens could be raided:

  • Royal Coins Chest +1 %
  • Premium Royal Coins Chest +2 %
  • Golden Royal Coins Chest +5 %
  • Royal Tokens Chest +1 %
  • Premium Royal Tokens Chest +2 %
  • Golden Royal Tokens Chest +5 %

Farming foreign cities

The best practice was to choose weaker targets and repeatedly raid foreign AC like a farm. It was crucial to coordinate attacks within the alliance, as resources for building and defense flowed from the common treasury. Those who did not contribute to filling the treasury hindered the entire alliance.

Why it is no longer in the game

Alliance Cities are now classified as outdated buildings and cannot be found in the current game. If you come across older guides or videos about AC, consider them as history. For today's alliance-team game, focus on monuments, laboratories, and alliance events.

Pro player tipIf you are looking for older guides to GGE and they mention Alliance Cities, do not look for this feature in the game - it has been discontinued. You will save yourself unnecessary searching.
Common mistakeRelying on guides about alliance cities as current content. The mechanics of royal coins from AC no longer apply.
