Event calendar, what runs when during the year and from which level

Goodgame Empire runs in event mode practically non-stop — there's always something going on. The basic rhythm is set by the monthly Grand Events, with combat events like War of the Realms, Nomads, Samurai or Berimond slotted in between on two-week to monthly cycles. This article pulls together a year-round calendar: which events are tied to specific months, how often the recurring ones come back, and what level you need to get into them at all.

The yearly cycle of Grand Events (from level 50)

Grand Events (also known in the community as LTPE, Long Term Point Events) are point events that last roughly a month and follow one after another — the whole year is thus covered by twelve themed events. They're fronted by King Ludwig the Round in various costumes. Since July 2021 they've only been available from level 50, and since March 2025 the leaderboards are global (across servers) rather than per server. The rewards are temporary currencies that you can spend at the Master Blacksmith only for a limited time.

All Grand Events work the same way mechanically, differing only in theme and currency. The point table has 80 thresholds (from 1 to 30 000 points), and besides currency the rewards include Upgrade and Construction tokens, sacrifices for generals (threshold 3 450: 20x Ludwig, 4 750: 3x Beatrice), dragon chests and, at the very top, a Big dragon chest. Grand Events run in tandem with the Kingdom's League (from level 70).

The two-week rhythm of War of the Realms and Bloodcrow

The most regular combat events are two "PvE raids" on foreign castles around your own castle on the world map. Both work the same way: 10 enemy castles appear around your castle, you collect glory for defeating them, and you get rewards for glory thresholds and, at the end, according to your ranking in your level group.

EventFrequencyFrom levelNote
War of the Realmsroughly every 2 weeks2011 difficulties, the 6 higher ones are unlocked with achievements or rubies
Bloodcrow Invasionroughly every 12–14 days4012 difficulties, otherwise the same principle as War of the Realms

Since November 2021 the same rule applies to both: until you pick a difficulty you can neither spy nor attack — and once you pick it, you can't change it until the event ends. Classic mode gives more gold and silver pieces for the Master Blacksmith at higher levels. The alliance reward only unlocks after reaching a certain amount of glory in a single attack.

Nomads and Samurai, the steppe and island invasions

Two classic "camp" events in which four NPC enemy camps appear around your castle and you farm event currency out of them to spend in the event tent.

EventFrequencyFrom levelCurrencyAlliance add-on
Nomad Invasionthe more frequent of the two, usually once every month or two30Khan TabletsKhan's Revenge (from level 70, the Khan's camp from level 105)
Samurai Invasionrarer, currently about once every 3–4 months10Samurai tokens + medalsLegion of the Daimyo (for legendary players)

Since 2022 both events have 10 selectable difficulties plus classic mode; without a chosen difficulty you can neither attack the camps nor spy on them. Unlike Samurai camps, Nomad camps can go into rage and, as part of Khan's Revenge, hit you back with a counterattack. From level 50 both events drop silver (and in the Nomads' case also gold) pieces for the Master Blacksmith. The Samurai are available from level 10 already, so they're often a newcomer's first big event.

Berimond, the battle of two houses

Berimond events come in two forms. The Battle for Berimond (from level 40, PC and mobile) moves you to a separate event kingdom where the game automatically splits players between House Gerbrandt and House Ursidae (an alliance always goes into the same house). The goal: fight your way through three lines of towers to the enemy capital and destroy it — then the "last man standing" battle begins. The event usually runs alongside a glory event. Since 2026 there's also a Berimond Advisor working like the one for Nomads and Samurai — advisor contracts attack on your behalf while you're offline.

Berimond Invasion (from level 50, PC only) is the smaller variant: Berimond camps appear directly on the Great Empire map, much like the Nomads. You collect gallantry and silver pieces in it.

The same family also includes Beyond the Horizon (from level 30) — an expedition to the Secret Cities on a separate map, where you can also have outposts with the same function as on the main server.

Level-gated events and what unlocks when

The calendar is useless to you until you have the level for the event. Here's the complete ladder of event unlocks by player level:

LevelEvents unlocked
6Nobility Contest, Traveling Knights, Wheel of Fortune
10Samurai Invasion, Shady Lady, Technicus, Colossus
20War of the Realms, Collector Event
30Nomad Invasion, Beyond the Horizon
35Storm Islands
40The Battle for Berimond, Bloodcrow Invasion
45The Blade Coast; crusade events like Thorn King and Underworld
50Berimond Invasion, Grand Events
55Attack of the Shapeshifter
70Kingdom's League, The Outer Realms, War of the Realms — alliance version, Rift Raid

On top of that, add the seasonal holiday-themed gacha events that come back at roughly the same time every year (from level 10): Easter, summer, anniversary, Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas and carnival. And of course the ongoing merchant/prime events (Prime Sale on buildings and expansions, Prime Day offers), which have no fixed calendar.

How to put together an event plan in practice

A few rules that follow from the calendar:

1. A Grand Event is always running. You generate points for it with practically every activity, so it pays to line up your big spending (recruiting, construction, attacks) with the scored categories of the GE that's currently running.

2. The two-week War of the Realms / Bloodcrow window is the main source of glory and pieces for the Master Blacksmith. If you're saving units, save them for these windows — the army refills between events.

3. Nomads and Samurai are the best loss-to-gain ratio for mid levels. The camps have no walls in the true sense of the word, and with a well-chosen difficulty you'll farm currency for units, sacrifices and decorations out of them with minimal losses.

4. Split the year by currencies. Grand Event temporary currencies expire — plan your Master Blacksmith purchases before the end of each event, not "sometime later". Always go through the actual shop offer on the very first day of the event so you know how many points are worth playing for.

Pro player tipThe seasonal currencies of Grand Events (Glacier tokens, Lotus tokens, Spooky tokens and others) expire or lose their use once the event ends. Make it a ritual in the last two days of every Grand Event: open the Master Blacksmith, spend your balance down to zero, and only then let the event run out.
Common mistakeThe biggest mistake is picking a combat event difficulty without thinking. Since November 2021, in War of the Realms, Bloodcrow, Nomad and Samurai events alike, you can't change the difficulty you chose until the event ends — and without choosing one you can't even spy. Anyone who clicks the highest difficulty without an army that can handle it has the event practically locked for two weeks.
